Waiting On Wednesday Every Last Word By Tamara Ireland Stone

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine.

I can't wait to read:

Expected Publication: June 16th 2015

If you could read my mind, you wouldn't be smiling.

Samantha McCallister looks just like the rest of the popular girls in her junior class. But hidden beneath the straightened hair and expertly applied makeup is a secret that her friends would never understand: Sam has Purely-Obsessional OCD and is consumed by a stream of dark thoughts and worries that she can’t turn off.

Second-guessing every move, thought, and word makes daily life a struggle, and it doesn't help that her lifelong friends will turn toxic at the first sign of a wrong outfit, wrong lunch, or wrong crush. Yet Sam knows she’d be truly crazy to leave the protection of the most popular girls in school. So when Sam meets Caroline, she has to keep her new friend with a refreshing sense of humor and no style a secret, right up there with Sam’s weekly visits to her psychiatrist.

Caroline introduces Sam to Poet’s Corner, a hidden room and a tight-knit group of misfits who have been ignored by the school at large. Sam is drawn to them immediately, especially a guitar-playing guy with a talent for verse, and starts to discover a whole new side of herself. Slowly, she begins to feel more “normal” than she ever has as part of the popular crowd . . . until she finds a new reason to question her sanity and all she holds dear.

As a sufferer of obsessive compulsive disorder myself, I am looking forward to a book that has a main character with the same disorder. This one sounds like a great read but I am not looking forward to the long wait!

Review - The "She" Stands Alone By Nadine C. Keels

Published: July 29th 2014

She can't seem to catch any guy's notice for anything. No, a pick-up pitch from a stranger gawking at her around Pump #2 at the gas station doesn't count. And that attractive salesman at the one-stop-for-all-you-want store in town shouldn't have been flirting with her in the first place, being ultra customer-friendly in an establishment notorious for its pathetic customer service.

Now, is this young woman's dateless predicament unfixable? Not in the least. New plan: Sheridan Jones is going to date herself.

I received this Novelette directly from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The "She" Stands Alone is a quick, fun read that kept me entertained and turning the pages.

The main character Sheridan is a strong, independent woman who decides to date herself after a failed relationship. The "She Stands Alone" tells us you need to be good to yourself, comfortable in who you are and independent before you can commit yourself to someone else and open your heart to love.

I loved the concept of this Novelette and was excited to have the opportunity to read it and was not disappointed. An enjoyable read with a great message.

The Book Reading Habits Tag

Thank you to Vicki for nominating me for the book reading habits tag, it is always so much fun to participate in tags :)

I have lots of bookmarks that I love to use, but I have a habit of losing them!

I can't stop reading! once I pick up I book I have to read it until the end, usually in one sitting.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?
I usually snack on whatever is near me as don't want to move once I am hooked in the book.

5. Do you read one book at a time or several at once?
I like to read one book at a time so then I am dedicated to that one book and I can fully emerge myself in the world.

6. Do you read out loud or silently in your head?
Silently, I hate reading out loud.

7. Do you ever read ahead or skip pages?

Little Update And Explanation For My Absense

Hey guys, I just want to apologize for my absence from the blogging world at the moment. Unfortunately I have been very unwell and my time has been taken up by doctor and hospital appointments and I haven't really felt well enough to read :( Also I am moving into my first home with my fiance soon so getting ready for that has taken up so much time...buying everything for the first time is overwhelming and I have found myself getting rather excited about owning an iron and mop!

When I am feeling better I will be back and posting regularly. All book requests I have accepted I apologize for the delay in my reviews and I will get round to them I promise.

Thank you everyone for sticking with me and being supportive.
